Our Story

Integrated Asset Advisors and the IAA Family of Funds provide access for accredited Investors and institutions to partner with the leading senior housing operator in the Southeastern United States.  With a pooled fund structure, IAA is able to make sound investment decisions and spread risk across multiple properties.  Our exclusive partnership with ALG Senior Inc., a 30-year veteran in the senior housing sector, allows us to identify properties with the greatest potential.  Once projects are selected and underwritten, IAA Funds and ALG Senior co-own the real estate and operations.

B. Grant Yarber

A graduate of Ole Miss, Grant began his banking and real estate career in Asheville, NC in 1986. After joining NCNB (now Bank of America) in 1989, he was a commercial banker, private banker, Business Banking Executive, and Senior Credit Officer for Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. Following another brief stint in the NC mountains as Chief Credit Officer of Mountain Bank, Grant became President and CEO of Raleigh-based Capital Bank Corporation in 2003. After guiding Capital Bank and its clients through the financial crisis and its subsequent recapitalization at the beginning of 2011, Capital Bank was sold to NAFH, a bank holding company. Capital Bank has again been sold, and is now part of First Horizon/First Tennessee Bank. Since leaving Capital Bank, Grant has actively consulted with financial services companies on mergers, due diligence, and lending/underwriting practices. Grant founded Integrated Asset Advisors and began IAA Fund, I, L.P. to pair accredited investors with experienced and well-funded developers to create enhanced returns. The initial funds have proven very successful, and IAA Fund III, L.P. is now underway. Named president and CEO of Capital Bank at age 39, Grant also served as Provost of the North Carolina School of Banking at UNC. He has been a featured speaker to business groups, frequently appearing on radio and national television to discuss business ethics, risk management, and regulatory issues related to community banking. He has served on numerous boards, including the North Carolina Bankers Association, Vice Chairman of the North Carolina Symphony, the North Carolina Theatre, the North Carolina Museum of History, and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. He was recognized by his peers by being named Business Leader of the Year in 2009 by Business Leader Magazine.

Austin G. Yarber, CPA

As Integrated Asset Advisors, LLC continues to grow, we are pleased to have Austin G. Yarber join us in the role of Director of Finance. Immediately prior to joining IAA and the IAA Funds, Austin worked at Stout Risius Ross as a Dispute Consultant, providing financial analysis for the United States Department of Justice’s Executive Office of the United States Attorneys. There he worked hand-in-hand with US Attorneys creating ability-to-pay models, and performing asset tracing and recovery analysis for those found in noncompliance with the False Claims Act and other fraudulent activities. Austin earned his CPA license in 2017 while at Deloitte, where his last role was as a Senior Tax Consultant. In this role he led staff in the preparation of Corporate tax returns, assisted with audits of public and private companies, and helped guide clients through the implementation of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Austin earned a Masters in Taxation and a Bachelors degree in Accountancy from the University of Mississippi, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and as a member of the Sally Barksdale Honors College.

Bill Zahn

Bill Zahn moved with his family to the Triangle in 1977. After graduating from North Carolina State University, he joined his family travel business. For the past couple of decades and today, Bill is CEO of Triangle Real Estate and has successfully developed, built and operated commercial real estate projects that include medical, retail, office, and large scale multi-family housing. ​In addition to his real estate projects and holdings, Bill is CEO of Accident Research Specialists, PLLC. ARC investigates a variety of motor vehicle accidents, construction failures, workplace accidents, fires, explosions, marine accidents, and product failures on behalf of insurance companies and governmental agencies.

Don Carter

Donald (“Don”) Carter is a North Carolina native who was born and raised in Sampson County. He moved to Raleigh in 1969 to attend North Carolina State University and has lived there ever since. Don holds both a BS and a MS degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and has been practicing as a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina since 1982. With over 30 year of experience in engineering, design, construction, economic development, and environmental consulting, Don has a diverse and technical background. Much of that time was spent as a major owner of S&ME, Inc. where Don also served as a company officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Don is now a Principal of Raleigh Development Company (RDC), which he formed with his business partner in 2003 to invest in and develop commercial real estate in and around downtown Raleigh. Since forming RDC, Don has strategically managed and directed the investment of RDC’s assets into various high return holdings. He has also been responsible for the due diligence and financial analysis of all RDC property transactions over the last 15 years. We welcome Don’s years of experience and leadership in Triangle area businesses to IAA as a partner and Investment Committee member.

Frank Floyd

Lattie Frank Floyd Jr. graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University. After graduation, Frank began work at the family business, Radio Communications Company, as a Sales Representative. During his tenure at Radio Communications, he owned and operated Direct Call of Cary (reseller of paging service), Regional Cellular Communications (an authorized agent for the cellular carriers), and Triangle Two Way (a radio service reseller). In early 2000, Frank founded Floyd Development, Inc., a residential building and development company and real estate investment company. Frank was direct responsibility for strategic planning for both residential and commercial developments, real estate acquisition, project financing, and property management. In 2001, Frank co-founded Crosspointe General Contractors, Inc., a residential and commercial building company to capture the building side of residential and commercial real estate. In 2006, Frank co-founded Recovery Logistics, LLC, a disaster recovery company focusing on the telecommunications industry. Serving as Chief Financial Officer Frank assumed a strategic role in the overall management of the company with responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This included accounting/finance, forecasting, strategic planning, partnership compliance, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relations, and private and institutional financing. In 2010, Frank formed a restaurant holding company to develop and operate restaurants throughout North Carolina. Frank is responsible for the financial operations of the company in addition to overseeing the acquisition of real estate and construction of new restaurants for the company. For the last 10 years Frank has focused on expansion of his development and investment business with recent projects including a 240 unit project in Clayton, an 800+ unit neighborhood in Fayetteville, multiple residential projects in Apex, and commercial shopping centers in NC, TN, and MD.

Andrew Ross

Andrew Ross graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. After graduation Andrew spent 5 years leading various Chemical Manufacturing facilities for FMC Corporation before joining the Campbell Soup Company in 2007. Initially he worked on the global rollout of the company-wide ERP system before transitioning into the supply chain organization to lead Network Optimization. In 2011 he joined the manufacturing network when he assumed leadership of the Soup Operation in Sacramento CA where he was accountable for the site’s safety, quality, reliability, and cost performance. In 2013 he transitioned to the North Carolina Manufacturing Plant where he led various teams including Quality, Information Technology, Continuous Improvement, and Operations. While at the facility, in addition to delivering business performance results, he was also responsible for product costing, site budget development, and delivery of the site cost savings program. In 2017 he assumed responsibility for the West Coast Fresh Beverage and Carrot processing plants in Bakersfield CA, Prosser, WA, and Wheatley, ON. In 2019 Andrew left Campbell Soup to lead Operations for the Floyd Development team in Cary, NC.
